Halloween lands on a Saturday. Marissa Collections has the jewelry. Palm Beach has the plans. Here are thirteen good reasons to get dressed—and very few reasons to behave.
Well, hello again, beautiful creatures. The first Sunday Picks is here: a little fashion, a little art, a proper treasure hunt, and several opportunities to stay out later than intended. Pick your favorites. Leave room for a detour.
Good taste. Bad influence.
01 / Dirty Dancing: The Musical
Wednesday, October 28–Sunday, November 1 · Kravis Center, West Palm Beach
Baby, Johnny, and a very good excuse to leave the house. The musical brings Kellerman’s to the Kravis for eight performances. Dress for the evening. Save the lift for the professionals.

02 / Christian McBride & Ursa Major
Friday, October 30 · 7:30 p.m. · Glazer Hall, 70 Royal Poinciana Way, Palm Beach
A little jazz. A proper outfit. Dinner that somehow turns into the whole evening. Christian McBride brings his quintet to Glazer Hall; tickets are listed at $125–$150.
03 / The Belgrove After Dark
Saturday, October 31 · 8 p.m.–midnight · The Belgrove, West Palm Beach
Halloween in the Latitude Ballroom, with cocktails, a DJ, tarot readings, and a best-dressed costume contest. Finally, an occasion where “too much?” is the wrong question. The advertised $99 ticket tier runs through October 30.
04 / Olympus After Dark
Saturday, October 31 · 7–11 p.m. · Treehouse, 380 Trinity Place, West Palm Beach
Gods, goddesses, and rooftop lighting. Treehouse’s Greek mythology party includes a welcome drink and a costume contest, with a two-night hotel stay up for grabs. If your costume needs its own entrance, you have found your evening.
05 / Molded & Mannered
Through December 12 · Cultural Council, 601 Lake Avenue, Lake Worth Beach · Plan a Tuesday–Friday visit, noon–5 p.m.
Clay, with personality. Artists from the Ceramic League of the Palm Beaches take it from functional pieces to sculpture. The sort of afternoon that starts with “just looking” and ends with a serious conversation about shelf space.
06 / Fairgrounds Card Expo
Saturday, October 31 and Sunday, November 1 · 10 a.m.–5 p.m. · South Florida Fairgrounds · Free entry
A different kind of treasure hunt: trading cards, memorabilia, and collectors who understand the thrill of finding the one. Free entry leaves more room in the budget for an excellent mistake. Special signings and purchases are separate.
07 / West Palm Beach Antique & Flea
Saturday, October 31 · 8:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. · 300 and 400 blocks of Clematis Street
Coffee first. Treasure second. Brunch when the bags become inconvenient. Start early, look properly, and remember that the odd little thing everyone else walks past may be the entire point. Check the organizer’s updates before heading out.
08 / The Nora Hotel and Pastis
Now open · The Nora Hotel, West Palm Beach
The Nora, Pastis, and Jack’s Bar debuted October 19. A new address for the dinner rotation, with a French brasserie downstairs and plenty to look at between courses. Research, obviously.

09 / Alice + Olivia Shop Pink
Wednesday, October 28 · 5–7 p.m. · Alice + Olivia, Royal Poinciana Plaza
Champagne, complimentary embroidery, and Stacey Bendet’s particular talent for tempting me. Jane Hanson hosts the evening. The Plaza lists 20% off purchases for guests who donate to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation at checkout; exclusions apply.
10 / Marissa Collections x Jared Lehr
Thursday, October 29–Saturday, October 31 · Marissa Collections, Royal Poinciana Plaza
I spy and covet. Jared Lehr brings his fine jewelry to Marissa Collections, with a personal appearance on the listing. Hand-picked gems and the possibility of suddenly needing another ring. Contact the boutique for appearance times before making a special trip.
11 / Live Jazz at Sant Ambroeus
Thursday, October 29 · 6–9 p.m. · Sant Ambroeus, Royal Poinciana Plaza
My favorite office, after hours. Live jazz in the lounge, something lovely in the glass, and absolutely no promise that “one drink” means one drink. Only in Palm Beach.
12 / Jack’s Bar at The Nora
Now open · The Nora Hotel, West Palm Beach
The drinks stop gets its own mention. Jack’s opened alongside Pastis on October 19, so this is the place for this week’s first round. Lillys stays on the watch list. One new room at a time. Allegedly.
13 / A double opening at the Norton
Saturday, October 31–March 14, 2027 · Norton Museum of Art, 1450 S. Dixie Highway, West Palm Beach
Gertrude Abercrombie: The Whole World Is a Mystery and Blazing Light: Photographs by Mimi Plumb open together Saturday. Start a day earlier with Plumb’s conversation with curator Gregory J. Harris, Friday, October 30, 6–7 p.m. Art, then dinner. An entirely defensible plan.
That is the week. Send me your finds—especially the thing you nearly left behind. Happy hunting. 🍸
