Well, hello, beautiful and amazing humans. Worth Avenue is having a moment, and I am not about to let it pass quietly.

Tesh — the hat boutique that started on Brazilian Avenue not two years ago — has moved into a flagship at 329 Worth Avenue, in Via Roma, in the space Mariko Jewelry held for nearly four decades. One era ends, another one puts on a hat. That’s how the Avenue works, and that’s why I love it.
Here’s what you’re walking into: about 1,200 square feet, mezzanine included, done up in ivory, camel and champagne gold — a complete transformation of a space that hadn’t been touched in forty years. Hand-woven toquilla straw hats from Ecuador, finished right here in Palm Beach. A Hat Library of crown shapes. An expanded men’s collection, because the men have been asking. And the Bespoke Hat Lounge, where your hat gets fitted to you and finished with whatever your imagination reaches for — gemstones, Italian leather, feathers, a keepsake that means something.

And then there’s the one you go just to look at: the Montecristi Superfino by master weaver Simón Espinal. One hat. More than a year of weaving, by hand. Museum-quality doesn’t begin to cover it — private viewings by appointment, and honestly, book one. Some things you don’t scroll past, you stand in front of.
The founders, Shannon Klepper and Tea Zegarac, came out of equestrian apparel, which explains everything about the fit and the finish. They launched in December 2024, debuted at Coterie in New York this September, and now they’ve planted the flag in the heart of the Avenue. “As Tesh has grown, we wanted a home that reflects the quality of what we create,” Klepper told the Daily News. She chose right.
Go look. Go try one on. Tell me which crown shape is yours.

Good taste. Bad influence.
