With All of the New Dining Options on the Island this Season, Don’t Forget the Time Tested Favorites..

Bice Bar
It has been a very long time since the dining and social scene on Palm Beach has had such an influx of new talents and tastes, and the Town is buzzing with reviews, gossip, and excitement. Del Frisco opened a few weeks ago, and the New York favorite is living up to the hype as a solid Steak place where they go above and beyond to please their guests. Bricktops is the brain child of local Joseph Ledbetter who started the original Houstons chain which owns Palm Beach Grill, so based on the resume the remodeled location should be a welcome hit. Three other new comers will make their debuts mid-season, including the Meat Market from Miami at 191 Bradley Place, so it is just the start of a lot of new choices for the locals and vacationers.

Meanwhile, I want to remind everyone who loves the town that we have some old standards that never, ever disappoint, and for me, in 20 years, I have never had anything but a phenomenal experience at Bice on Worth. The food is always melt in your mouth delicious, especially my regular Futti di Mare salad and Asparagus and Crab Risotto. The bar scene is always hopping, and the Happy Hour between 4-7pm daily is the absolute best deal in town. The biggest secret weapon behind Bice’s consistency and quality is a staff that is second to none, friendly, funny, and always treat guests like family. The Waiters truly know the menu, and will even offer smaller servings or two on one plate if that makes choosing your favorites easier. This year Jose Gonzalez takes the Lead, and as a 20 year Bice Vet who started as a busboy two decades ago, he only takes the welcoming atmosphere up a notch. Never pretentious or nose in the air, as was custom back in the day, Jose loves and is grateful for all the years at Bice-and it shows! Of course Philipe, the Town’s favorite Bartender and longtime one man show behind the bar, draws crowds from Miami to Wellington for a bar scene that seems to constantly get better and yet stay the same for those of us who call ourselves regulars.

So, as new and exciting restaurants pop up, I’m sure Bice will remain on the top of my go to lists for friends and out-of-town guests. Besides, if you want homemade pasta and true Italian cooking second to none, the only authentic cuisine in town worth the moniker is Bice. Plus, outdoor seating on the terrace is brilliant for the amazing weather we are so blessed to call normal.
